The TLI Cycling AGM and National Committee Meeting took place
recently at the Manchester West Novotel and the following is an abbreviated
summary of the salient points of the two meetings:
The 2015 accounts were approved and are available to view on the
'Downloads' page together with the annual reports of the National Secretary and
the National Treasurer.
Annual membership fees for over 18's will be raised from
£10 to £12 for 2017. There will no change in under 18 fees,
which will remain free of charge.
Two new positions have been added to the National Management
Committee. Andrew Wright is appointed as the Police Liaison Officer to
undertake coordination with police forces throughout the country to ensure that
TLI Cycling remains committed to it's policy of "Keeping Cycle Racing on
the Roads'. Graham Weigh takes over as Public Relations Officer to help promote
the TLI Cycling name as a major national cycle racing organisation.
To allow junior female competitors to enjoy a more viable race experience, a new category - WJ - has been created specifically for this age group which will allow them to compete directly with other junior females in a TLI Cycling age-related race.
